  • There are seven classes of nutrients the body needs. These are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water. So, everyone needs to consume these seven nutrients daily to help build their body and maintain their health.
  • Hence, the risk of developing specific health problems increases if people don’t have the right balance of nutrients in their diet.
  • Besides, the small intestine takes in the nutrients, and the circulatory system delivers them to other parts of the body for storage or use. Further, special cells help absorbed nutrients pass through the intestinal lining and into the bloodstream.

Types of Nutrients

Two types of Nutrients are Macronutrients and Micronutrients

1) Firstly, Macronutrients are essential in small amounts. They contain vitamins and minerals.

  • Carbohydrates like sugar, starch, and fiber are types of carbohydrates
  • Sugars are simple carbohydrates. Besides, the body quickly breaks down and absorbs sugar and processes starch.
  • Fiber is also a carbohydrate. And also, the body breaks down certain types of fiber and uses them for energy.
  • Crude fiber and starch are complex carbohydrates. So, after eating fiber, a person will feel fuller for longer. And also, fiber reduces the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and colorectal cancer.

Protein :

In addition, proteins are made up of amino acids, which are naturally occurring organic compounds.

Several foods provide complete protein, which means they contain all of the essential amino acids that the body needs; some have various combinations of amino acids.

Fats:

And also, fat is essential for:

  • grease seals
  • help organs make hormones
  • allow the body to absorb specific vitamins
  • and also, reduce inflammation
  • maintain good brain health

Water:

Further, the adult human body contains up to 60% water and needs water for many processes. Besides, water does not contain calories and does not provide energy. So, It is advisable to consume 2 liters, or eight glasses, of water per day,
